Foreclosure
By filing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, the first thing that occurs is that legal proceedings such as a foreclosure sale must cease or stop. Secondly, we will address your mortgage arrears (behind payment) and the ongoing mortgage payment, on terms that will allow you to get caught up.
Repossession
Repossession is when the creditor or financial institution that gave you money to purchase your car takes your car back because you missed a payment. If your car is already repossessed, if you file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy within 10 days of the repossession, the car lender must release the car back to you.
